Color & Shape Theory
for Branding

What is Branding

In a nutshell, branding is the consistent and emotional impact of stimulus. This is also known as conditioning.

Just as hot iron can be used to brand steer, we are conditioned by society to feel certain ways about certain things.

Media triggers an emotional response with shapes and colors.

Branding in storytelling

In this famous 80’s cartoon, the main character plays two characters distinguished only by their attire.

Noticed Adam’s colors versus He-man’s.

If some over eager designer got too creative, this would leave the user confused.
